Phuket Town

Exploring Phuket’s Old Town will feel like a walk back in time as you wander past Sino-Portuguese mansions along narrow snaking streets like Soi Romanee, one of our favourites for its colourful shop house facades now home to quaint boutiques and bars.

The old town area of Phuket has many interesting shops and cafes. It’s nice to walk around the area and get a feel of the Chinese & Portuguese influence. In particular, Soi Romanee is a beautiful old street with many interesting and colourful buildings, little bars etc. On Sunday, this area is closed for car traffic and become a walking street market. There are also many historic buildings nearby, such as the Phuket Provincial Hall, is a wonderful old teak building appeared in many movies.

The “Art and Culture “ booklet available at our lobby area outlines an interesting walking tour,  which takes about an hour, you can visit the shops offer everything from antiques, accessories, interiors, fabrics, and interesting restaurant such as China Inn.
